Was the NOW Project previously put on hold?
Absolutely not. The NOW Project is about making space for more people to hear the Truth of the Gospel. That has always been the goal of the project, It remains an urgent need and priority for Grace Church. This vision, this priority, is fixed and unchanging. Right now we are pursuing that objective through a proposed new building on Robb Drive.
Why is the building so important when there are still seats on Saturday
night and early Sunday morning?
Because people who are new to church, those who drive church growth, come at the optimal service times, which are near, at or past capacity. When they can’t get a seat, or it’s very difficult to get a seat, they leave. For our church to grow, and thus the Kingdom to grow in Reno, we need to have room to seat those people and share the love of Christ.
Can I continue paying toward my pledge after May 23rd? Absolutely. Just continue to put “NOW” in the memo portion of your check or online giving.
What if I have never made a pledge. Can I pledge now? Absolutely. You can pledge by contacting Karen Durst at the email below, or you can give without a pledge. Just be sure to designate NOW project on your gift. Remember there are many convenient ways to give, either one time or periodically. Contact the church office for details.
What happens next? Grace Church will be entering into a new capital stewardship campaign in the Fall to raise the rest of the funds to see this through. Watch for details.
